Grant 1 - Metering Upgrades

Metering Plan Implementation Grant

$100,000 For Metering Upgrades

This grant covers up to 50% of the cost of installing permanent metering and monitoring systems at complex commercial or industrial sites.

Energy Performance Service Support

$50,000 towards unlocking real, measurable cost reductions

Most businesses already have sub-metering installed, but very few are using that data to reduce operating costs. This grant is designed to fix that.

The Energy Performance Service Support Grant helps NSW commercial and industrial businesses take the next strategic step, turning raw metering data into financial performance improvements across HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems.

This grant is deliverd in 2 parts.

Part 1 - $5,000 Plan Contribution

$5,000 (50% of cost) contribution towards energy monitoring and analysis plan development with a qualified specialist like EnergyWise

Part 2 - $45,000 Implementation Contribution

$45,000 (50% of cost) contribution to plan implementation, covering expertise and systems required to turn data into sizeable, tangible reductions in you energy spend.

For sites spending $200,000+ annually on energy, even small percentage improvements translate into significant OPEX reductions, without touching major capital equipment.

Only $1.5 million has been allocated to this grant stream. Applications close 31 March 2026.

Submetering Grant

$20,000 For Permanent Submeter Installations

This grant provides up to $20,000 per site, covering up to 50% of the cost of installing permanent submeters across key loads inside your facility. Sub-metering gives large commercial and industrial sites the ability to see exactly where energy is being consumed, and where it’s being wasted.
