Savings on different Load Types
The Ark can generate savings across a wide variety of load types, including;
- mechanical services i.e. HVAC (heating, ventilation, air-conditioning)
- 3-phase motors
- refrigeration
- general power
- HID lighting
- fluorescent lighting
- incandescent/ backlash halogen lighting
This means that viable Ark solutions can be tailored for nearly any industry sector and application.
Calculating Savings
Due to the variations in electricity usage and individual site conditions, the savings generated by The Ark are different for every premise. In order to provide you with a dependable savings estimate, the following are some of the variables that we take into account during our comprehensive assessment process, and which affect the savings you will achieve;
- The level of voltage optimisation (6,8 or 10%) applied to the Ark Unit (dependant upon the incoming voltage supply level).
- The types of electricity loads at your site.
- The existence of other energy saving technologies i.e. lighting devices.
- Your electricity usage and the pattern of usage.
To calculate your Return on Investment, the following are also accounted for;
- Your bundled electricity cost.
- The size of Ark unit.
- The installation cost.
General Savings Estimate
Energy savings of between 8% and 20% can be achieved for around 90% of premises in Australia, by the installation of The Ark.
From a financial perspective, allow us to flip the net profit equation and please consider for a moment how you would respond to the following offer;
Your business can invest $30,000 now and receive an income stream of $10,000 (increasing in the foreseeable future at rates well above inflation) per year, for the next 30+ years, with no additional costs. Further, your workers will operate more efficiently (less stress, less downtime and sick days, longer employment tenure).
Now, of course it is not in our line of business to make promises of this particular nature.
However, the situation outlined above is a useful analogy (where of course the ‘workers’ are analogous of your electrical equipment and machinery) and a common payback scenario for an Ark installation. In this example, it reflects a business that has an electricity spend in the approximate range of $60,000 to $100,000 and invests $30,000 in an Ark installation.
As this example clearly demonstrates, saving energy can have a large and direct impact on your financial bottom line.
Carbon Emission Savings
By saving up to 20% of the energy used across an entire site, The Ark can provide significant reductions in carbon emissions. Not only can this assist company’s meet their environmental targets and promote their positive green efforts to the marketplace, but it is also expected to provide further financial savings (and possibly income) with the implementation of a carbon constrained economy.
